It's been on the roadmap for two quarters. Every sprint review, it's still there. The team agrees it matters. They can't get to it while shipping features, and the version of "we'll do it next quarter" you've been telling the board is starting to read as fiction.
SwiftUI migration. Tuist modularization. Swift Concurrency rollout. Swift 6 strict concurrency. The UIKit-to-SwiftUI arc. Combine to async/await. All of them have the same shape: real engineering, no obvious owner, a cost-benefit nobody has written down.
This is the engagement.

Phase 1: Discovery
Two weeks, fixed price
A written migration plan
Phasing, risks, dependencies to other teams, cost-benefit, and an explicit "don't do this part" section. The document stands alone. If you choose not to proceed, it's still yours and it's still useful.
Phase 2: Delivery
Three to six months
Embedded as delivery lead
Three days a week. Coding alongside the team, not just diagramming. Owning sequencing, dependencies, and the conversation with PM and other teams when the migration brushes against product scope.
Throughout
- Bi-weekly written progress note: what shipped, what slipped, what changed in the plan
- One stakeholder-ready retrospective at the end, in two versions: one for engineering, one short enough for the board
- An anonymized version of the retro, with your permission, becomes a public piece. Useful for your hiring. Useful for mine.
